BHS Corrugated North America is seeking an Entry-level HR Generalist/HR Assistant to join our team in Charlotte, NC and/or Atlanta, GA.  THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION WITH 2 DAYS IN OFFICE PER WEEK.
The Job:

The HR Assistant/ Entry Level Generalist provides support to the human resources functions, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, compensation, benefits, and employee records.  This role will offer an opportunity for someone with the right work ethic and passion for HR to develop their skills and grow into a well-rounded HR Generalist.  This is a hybrid position with approximately 2 days/week in the office.

To be successful in this position, you will:
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding activities, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and databases, including personnel files, attendance records, and HRIS data entry.
  • Assist with benefits administration tasks, such as enrollment processing, eligibility verification, and resolving benefits-related inquiries.
  • Provide support for payroll processing, including data entry, payroll adjustments, and resolving payroll-related issues.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement programs, training and development initiatives, and diversity and inclusion efforts.
  • Prepare and distribute HR-related correspondence, such as offer letters, employment verifications, and performance review forms.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Perform general administrative tasks.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and orientation, providing support to new hires and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Assist in updates to Employee Handbook.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and databases, including personnel files, attendance records, organizational charts, and HRIS data entry.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Assist in HR projects and initiatives, such as performance management, employee engagement surveys, and diversity and inclusion programs.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in HR, continuously seeking opportunities for learning and professional development.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Experience:
-Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
-Previous experience in an HR role, preferably in recruiting, is a plus.
-Ability to communicate well with all levels of an organization.
-Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
-Enthusiastic about learning and growing within the HR field.
-Proficiency in MS office programs to include Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
-Ability to work at computer for 8 hours a day and ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
-Ability to work independently.

The Salary:

$50-75K depending on experience level and background.
