We are expanding our team in Charlotte, NC, and are looking for a skilled PLC Engineer to support our growing U.S. operations.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and program PLC-based control systems for industrial automation
- Design and implement automation concepts, functional specifications, and function diagrams
- Support the integration of sensors, actuators, and industrial networks
- Perform virtual commissioning and testing of automation systems
- Troubleshoot and optimize machine processes through PLC programming
- Provide remote and on-site support for system commissioning and service
- Collaborate with IT and OT teams for seamless interface development (including OPC UA)
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to improve automation efficiency
Your Qualifications
- Degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field
- Experience with Siemens PLC programming (S7-300, S7-1500)
- Knowledge of Codesys and high-level programming languages is a plus
- Experience with Git version control and software testing is preferred
- Strong understanding of industrial network technology (Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
